Uluwatussa kävimme syömässä ravintolassa, jonne aina illalla ilmestyi pienen pieni kissa, jolla selvästi oli jotain vikaa selkärangan alaosassa / lonkissa. Sillä raukalla oli haavat molemmin puolin kylkiä lonkkien yläpuolella, että olisiko sitten joutunut koiran kynsiin. Ilmoitimme paikalliselle eläinsuojalle, ja parin päivän päästä he lähettivät eläinambulanssin pientä hakemaan. Valitettavasti kisu oli juossut karkuun, eivätkä olleet saaneet sitä kiinni. Olemme odotelleet yhteydenottoa, josko uusi yritys tuottaisi tulosta. Toivottavasti toinen pääsee turvaan pian!
After Ubud we continued our journey to the South West corner of Bali. Our driver took us to see the rice terraces first and then we drove for a couple of hours down to Uluwatu. Our accommodation was close to Padang Padang beach. It was a very quiet, laid back surf town, and we enjoyed so much not having a million tourists around us. On the second day we hired a scooter and rode to Uluwatu temple along the coast line. Lots of wild monkeys here too, although compared to the Monkey Forest, these ones were more aggressive and almost frightening. The temple itself wasn't that fancy, but the location was superb.
In Uluwatu we also met a tiny cat, who obviously had some sort of an injury on her hips / lower spine. We contacted the local animal shelter and they sent an animal ambulance to collect the cat. Unfortunately the cat had run off and they couldn't catch it. We are now waiting to hear some information and good news that the second attempt has been (or will be) successful.
